Born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta, Danielle Serdachny is a professional hockey player currently competing in the PWHL for the Seattle Torrent.

Serdachny was selected 2nd overall in the 2024 PWHL Draft by the Ottawa Charge and was later picked up by Seattle during the league’s expansion process. During her time at Colgate, she was a three time captain, earned ECAC Player of the Year honors and was named a Top 3 finalist for the Patty Kazmaier Award. In 2024, she was also nominated for the Hockey Humanitarian Award, recognizing her impact both on and off the ice.

A world champion, Serdachny takes pride in competing at the highest level while making a positive impact on those around her. She is passionate about giving back to the community and using hockey as a platform to inspire others. She also serves as the female ambassador for Every Kid Deserves a Shot, helping provide opportunities and access to the game for children in Edmonton.

Through her experience in the Professional Women’s Hockey League, Serdachny has developed a growing interest in player style and the game-day “walk-ins.

Serdachny graduated from Colgate University in 2024 with a degree in Film & Media Studies and Economics. She has carried her passion for film creating YouTube content that gives a behind the scenes look at her life as a professional athlete.
